Explore the predicted International Space Station position, ground track and upcoming passes for your chosen location.
Choose a city, including Mumbai or Sydney, or enter coordinates for local ISS predictions. Positions use public orbital elements and SGP4 propagation. Visibility depends on sunlight, darkness and local conditions. Kaveri Orbital is a father-and-son passion project by Arun Govindappa and Naren Arun. Naren is completing his degree in astrophysics at Pennsylvania State University (Penn State).
How can I find an ISS pass over Mumbai or another city?
Choose a city or coordinates in the location selector. Kaveri Orbital propagates public orbital elements with SGP4 and samples the next 48 hours at 20-second intervals. Passes must reach 10° elevation. Elements older than three days disable pass predictions; these predictions are not direct telemetry.
No. The potentially visible filter requires a sunlit ISS, observer Sun below −6° and ISS elevation above 10°. Cloud, terrain and buildings are not modelled. An overhead pass and a potentially visible pass are different; verify important viewing plans with NASA’s sighting service.
